Divas Champion Melina & Eve def. “Co-Women’s Champions” Layla & Michelle McCool; Championship Unification Lumberjack Match arranged for Night of Champions
Oh, it is so on! After weeks of self-professed “Co-Women’s Champions” Layla & Michelle McCool taunting Divas Champion Melina, it’s time to put up or shut up. After Melina and her partner, Eve, defeated Lay-Cool in a Divas Tag Team Match, the real-life “mean girls” made Melina an offer she couldn’t refuse: One of them will face her at Night of Champions, and the winner will unify the Divas and Women’s Championships.

The lovely Latina agreed – on one condition. To ensure the match would be clean, she insisted that all of her fellow Divas be allowed to surround the ring in a Lumberjack Match. Reluctantly, Lay-Cool agreed before storming off in a high school huff.

Jillian, Alicia Fox & Maryse def. Divas Champion Melina, Eve & Gail Kim
Melina was clearly distracted. The newly-minted Divas Champion had teamed with Eve & Gail Kim against Alicia Fox, Jillian & Maryse, but she appeared leery of a surprise visit from co-Women’s Champions Michelle McCool & Layla. After all, the pair had ganged up on her at SummerSlam just moments after she captured the Divas Title.

The threat from Team Lay-Cool never materialized, but Melina and Gail were indeed distracted. When the Divas left the ring to battle Alicia and Maryse, Jillian took advantage and rolled up an unsuspecting Eve for the win.

The Bella Twins def. Eve & Gail Kim and Maryse & Jillian in a Triple Threat Tag Team Summertime Spectacular
Ya gotta love summer. In a Triple Threat Tag Team Match, six sexy, smart and powerful Divas flooded the ring in a battle of bikini-clad beauties: The Bella Twins vs. Eve & Gail Kim vs. Maryse & Jillian. As the lucky duo of Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov shared referee duties, Brie & Nikki took control and overcame their strong and stunning opponents for the win.

Divas Champion Alicia Fox, Jillian & Tamina def. Eve, Gail Kim & Natalya; Melina returned and attacked Alicia
Alicia Fox’s hot streak just ran headlong into cold, harsh reality. The Divas Champ had teamed with Jillian & Tamina to face Eve, Gail Kim & Natalya. After watching Tamina save her bacon, Alicia seized the baton and took credit for her team’s win. Her selfish exploits backfired, though, when a returning Diva paid a visit: Melina! The brunette beauty attacked Alicia, sending the message that she’s back and hungry. And when the Divas Champ tried to escape Melina, her fellow Divas forced her back in, where the striking Latina punished her and, undoubtedly, sent a chill up her spine.

Eve def. Maryse
For Eve, it was time for redemption. One night after losing a Divas Title Match to Alicia Fox, the Latina lovely seemed eager to prove herself against longtime tormentor, Maryse. With Ted DiBiase looking on from ringside, Eve capitalized on a questionable call by the referee to win the bout. Afterward, as DiBiase and his “protector” Maryse argued with the ref, John Morrison swooped into the ring and landed Starship Pain on The “Fortunate Son” before exiting a satisfied man.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Alicia Fox continued her streak of Divas Championship dominance over the Raw Divas at Money in the Bank by defeating her nemesis, the former titleholder, Eve. The Foxy Floridian beat Eve for the second time in less than a month and continues to prove her “haters” wrong by maintaining strong momentum as the Divas Champion.

The butterfly-emblazoned Divas Title was up for grabs in a Fatal 4-Way Match at Fatal 4-Way in June and then-Champion Eve ran the risk of losing the title without being pinned or submitted. Alicia Fox knew what was at stake in the match-up and captured the coveted butterfly without pinning the champion. Although Eve did invoke her rematch clause on Raw after losing the title, the new Divas Champion used nefarious tactics – feigning an ankle injury – to gain the upperhand and defeat her rival in singles competition.

However, this charade compelled Raw’s anonymous General Manager to establish this rematch for the prized title at Money in the Bank – a hard-fought battle inside the Sprint Center over the Divas Championship. For Eve, she sought not only to reclaim the top Divas spot on Raw, but also retribution. But Alicia was out to prove herself as a dominant champion and that was just the right motivation she needed heading into the match.

Focusing her attacks on Eve’s lower back, and finishing the job with a powerful scissor kick, Alicia showed the WWE Universe that she was indeed Raw’s leading Diva, defeating Eve to retain the title and silence the naysayers, this time without using a dubious strategy to secure a victory.

As the Divas Champion continues to build on her momentum and has bested virtually all of Raw’s Divas, one simple question remains – is there anyone who can stop Alicia Fox? Right now, one thing is for certain: The Foxy Floridian is sexy, smart, powerful and a force to be reckoned with on Raw.

Divas Champion Alicia Fox def. Gail Kim; GM arranged Divas Title Match
Karma can be a real drag – just ask Divas Champion Alicia Fox. After Fox faked an ankle injury last week to win her match against Eve, Raw’s anonymous General Manager called out the leggy lovely and arranged a Divas Title Match this Sunday at Money in the Bank.

Before she could defend her title, though, Fox needed to defeat the always dangerous Gail Kim. With Eve looking on from ringside, the Divas Champion did just that, pinning Kim for the three-count.
